After growing up outside of Philly and living in NYC for many years, I never thought I’d be in L.A. But 2 1/2 years ago, I drove myself out here, and… I actually love it!
Every moment that I can soak up this endless sunshine I do: running, hiking, skiing….or if I have to be inside, then I’m spinning, boxing or doing yoga.
You’ll always find me with tons of veggie food I cooked myself and bags and bags of reading material. I’m a little skeptical, but I just joined a co-ed book group. Hopefully, it will be as awesome as the all ladies one I started in NYC (which is still going, I’m proud to say!)
Someone I just met unknowingly sized me up perfectly: “You’re all classed up, then I look down and see bare feet!” My “barefoot side” takes me to Jewish environmental education seminars, sustainable food conferences, and you will always see me with a thermos (or two) and reusable bags galore!
Some random facts: I’m addicted to decaf coffee (which I drink out of a metal straw), listen to LP’s, go to the theatre alone, drink fancy beers, and religiously buy the Tuesday New York Times (yes, only Tuesday) – for the perfect crossword puzzle and the Science Times!
I’m part of the Entertainment Division of the Jewish Federation, involved with an incredible Jewish community called Ikar, and volunteer for a Jewish Learning Conference called LimmudLA. I’m also on a task force to raise awareness and improve strategies for people, and their families, dealing with eating disorders.
